I found out that I have a dual resolution Nanao Monitor and am trying to figure out how to put it into my Off-Road Challenge. (Monitor just went out this week) The connections do not look the same, and I have to switch the resolution on the monitor. Any help? I can get pictures if needed.

Thanks,

Well, the first thing you need to do is figure out whether your Nanao is a 100v or 120v. they made two versions. If it is a 100v, then you need to get an iso that steps the 120 down to 100.

After that, the power connector and the video input is a bit different, but not too much so. The connectors themselves are labeled, if I recall correctly, so you should be able to match them up to the right pins. Finding the proper connectors may be the hard part.

And if you don't know how to switch the Nanao between standard (Low/15K) or medium (High/25K) resolution, there is a connector in the middle of the chassis to move. Change it with the power off or you'll blow the HOT...

----I have found the Nanao is a 100v, so what is the best route to get an iso from 120 to 100?
----Also I have pictures of the connectors of each, where can I look for the proper connections?
----I have also switched the resolution with the power off.

What I'm asking now, is where do I find the iso, and where do I get different connectors for the video?

Thanks a bunch!

I guess ask for a step-down iso in the wanted section. I need one myself for mine...

So, other then getting the stepdown, do I just splice the other video cord to make work if I can't find a connector. (example: blue, red, green, white, ect.)

Other then that, the Nanao does seem to have one additional plug near the power (additional to the green, white, black) which is two red cords with one plug.

I can get pictures if it helps.....still looking for the stepdown though.

So you're saying though, without the stepdown, connecting the monitor and turning on will likely ruin it? The connections for the power (green, white, black) do match up.....

Running it at 120 probably won't ruin it right away. it might run for a while, then eventually die. Might die right away if it's been stressed a lot before. I did it once before realizing, and the picture looked like shit.

As for the connectors - yes, cut and splice a connector. The other pins go to an external degauss switch (if you have one) I think. Either that or to the degauss coil....

Thanks a bunch. Sounds like the hunt is on then for the Isolation Stepdown......

Thanks again!!!
