If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. What would it entail to put a multigame board in my original MK2 cabinet?

Jamma boards will work in most Jamma rigs without any modification. The only modifications you would need to make are for any buttons that aren't connected to the Jamma harness. For this you should refer to the pinout for the board you are installing and add additional buttons or a kick harness depending on what games are on your multi-board.

If your multi-board has classic games which don't require more than 2-3 buttons then you should be okay with your existing setup and the board should be plug and play.

Depends on what kind of games you like to play. If you post what kind of games you like I'm sure people on these forums that have more experience with multi boards can chime in as to which ones are good and which to avoid.

Sounds like a 60-in-1 is what you need. Look in the 'for sale' section for them. Of course the 60-in-1 is for vertical games and the MK series has a horizontal monitor. The orientation of the monitor can be changed with some work.

EDIT: A 48-in-1 or 39-in-1 would work, too. They may be harder to find since they are apparently not being made anymore - 60-in-1 is the replacement and track ball is supported.
