Punchout Cpo and Side art (NOT MINE)

Pretty sure that's Phillipe who owned ArcadeRenovations.com. QuarterArcade.com bought out his remaining stock when he closed down. I'll bet either he has some old art left, or is still doing art but just not for his own company.

He does very nice work imho.

Sent an email to the seller asking how the quality compares to the original artwork. He said they look and feel the same.

I just bought the last 2 sets. :)

i bought a set of the art a couple months ago from that ebay seller. I was very suprised with the quality, and it is silkscreened. highly recommended

This artwork is pretty much stolen goods in my opinion. Yes, it is the same artwork we sell, which is the problem. I believe this seller somehow obtained it directly from our printer.

I realize it is cheaper than our prices, unforunately I really don't know what to do in case like this other than to say, I'm 99% sure it was basically taken from my printer under our noses.

Needless to say, we're not using the printer anymore, unfortunately it really puts a damper on us doing any new projects knowing there our people out there up to stuff like this.

If want to see new silkscreened artwork projects, please support the people who print it legit (such as us and PhoenixArcade) and don't steal others work.

Thanks,
Anthony

I think what he is saying is the printer is running more copies and selling them to another party or is selling them himself.

Anthony, thanks for letting us know!
I was thinking if it was silkscreened it might be surplus from awhile ago. Might be wrong since its before I was involved in the arcade scene, but I heard the one guy made way too many and was selling them for something like $2 each for DK side art and this is the same art everyone is still selling today. Thought there might be a stash of other art out there, but did seem odd that you needed to reproduce the PunchOut sideart and then the CPO if there was some still available.

I just looked at the sellers feedback, he has been selling these for months??? So what makes you think they are from your printer?? He has been selling these and Ms pac cocktail underlays, from two bits for months.
with a perfect feedback rating.

You might be correct but those are pretty harsh charges. So please give us the proof, or reason you believe this:eek:

Trust me, people who know me well, know that I just don't go throwing accusations around like this. The seller only sells items I and Mikes Arcade have printed in the past couple with years (we use the same printer). He was also selling our Phoenix CPOs (do you really think somebody else would run 100-200 Phoenix CPOs as well). I purchased one to confirm that they were the same and they were.

Remember, when we print screen printed artwork, we have to print quite a bit to make the price reasonable. We're not printed 20-30 at time, which this is selling.

I reprinted Donkey Kong sideart recently as well, which is why he has it. I've spoken to other arcade artwork dealers and my printer about this and we're all pretty sure what is going on here, without going into too much detail.

It is a shame, but I'm sure you can read between the lines here, we did purchase Arcade Renovations inventory a few years ago and I thought the seller left the business, at least that is what he told me, but apparently I was incorrect.

It is just really sad to me that people are this unethical. This is the main reason you haven't seen us print any new artwork, I'm not about to make a $3000 investment to see somebody else take the overprints and undercut me.

Again, if you can appreciate the difference in screen printed artwork and want to see it continue to be on the market support, the honest dealers.

Anthony, makes more sence now. So you hired a printing company and they are making extra copies. Wow that sucks. Sorry to hear about this.
I personally wont buy from him now. Hey Anthony Can you do a run of outrun and afterburner sideart??:)

I know this guy and it appears anthony knows who it is as well. He happens to be pretty good friends with mike at mikesarcade.
