Ok, just picked up a Punch Out today, got it home, plugged it in, attract music came on, game plays fine, but there is no announcer sound. No one telling me "body blow, right hook", no one counting when a fighter gets knocked down, and if you lose, the fighter doesn't laugh at you. I looked at the schematics and saw that on each monitor, there is supposed to be one red and one white wire that plugs into each speaker. Well, only the bottom monitor has this cable and is plugged into one speaker. I found the second speaker plug, but nothing coming from the top monitor or anywhere else. Any ideas? TIA!!

Update - I found the sound output for the announcer and plugged it into the lower monitor and presto! Have the announcer, but now no crowd noise. I guess the upper monitor is missing the sound amplifier? I see one on the lower monitor but not one for the upper...is there an easy fix like splicing the two or do I need to locate an amplifier for the second monitor?

Ok, I guess I figured this out on my own, looks as if the Sanyo 20EZ is missing the transformer for the sound amplifier. Looks like that is what plugs into the speaker...

UPDATE: Got a new sound transformer and PRESTO! We have an announcer...
