I picked up a PO pretty cheap recently...the pcb wasn't working and had bad acid damage. After cleaning, replacing a few sockets/chips, and the resistor arrays, i've gotten the board to play nearly perfectly. The only remaining issue occurs during game play. When the opponent winds up to throw a punch, and only when they wind up, they disappear briefly, and then all is good again!

The video pcb is very clean. I've verified all the roms, but can't pin this very specific issue down. I did notice that my board has LS283's at 2J, 3J, and 4J, and the schematics call for F283's...could this be the cause of my issue, or is it likely somewhere else???

Any tips/help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, those need to be F283's

figured the speed would make a difference...but i don't know enough to determine if it would cause my specific issue. looks like i'll place an order and find out!!!
thanks!

Yes it will cause opponent glitches like you are seeing. Mostly in demo mode.
