Hi all,

a Punch Out !! has crossed my life, and i could not let it go... so, i am now the proud owner of that beauty. The machine have side arts smashed and a not original CPO... and i wanna restore it :)

Do someone here has some high res scans of CPO and sidearts? Could having those arts printed locally have drawbacks (i live in europe and i would prefer not to buy from overseas to reduce the impact of shipping costs)

Thanks in advance

Thanks, i am happy to be a new member and supporter of that site now! This is the kind of projects that pumps up the arcade culture

if you google

you can find websites that have free vector are too.. they are not as good as the original scans though but good for restoring cabs.

I know you don't want to pay for international shipping, but the silkscreened quality of the ones that are currently available will be much better than anything you get inkjet printed. It may be worth the additional expense (not to mention time to create yourself)

Thanks for the suggestion. I dont think that those sites selling printed artworks have special equipment or machines not available in a "specialized typing shop" (not sure if this is the correct name in english), but please correct me if my statement is wrong

PS: excellent CP Phetishboy! I read all the story on KLOV boards :)

Yes, actually there is quite a difference. Read up on this website (by competitors, he means outfits that print inkjet art in the states):
http://www.phoenixarcade.com/printing.htm

He offers a good explanation of the differences between silkscreen and inkjet. The Punch Out artwork that QuarterArcade sells is silkscreen, just like the original. You will not be able to get anything silkscreened locally without spending a ton of time and money (which you would never do for 1 piece of artwork). Anything done with a local printer would be done via inkjet.

That being said, any of the inkjet stuff from arcade suppliers in the states would be better then what you could get locally since they have been doing it for many years and that is what they specialize in. They are continually getting better and are getting closer to the silkscreened art as far as actual print quality, adhesives, and CPO texture. Many collectors do go with inkjet for rare items where there is no other option.

Basically, what it comes down to, is go silkscreen if available and then go with one of the few inkjetters if it isn't.
