I've got a pump it up pro 2 that's stuck on the bios screen. Asking me to hit <F1> or <Del> to either continue or bios set up respectively.

Is this the normal start-up?

Would an employee or technician always hook up a keyboard to start the boot sequence?

Is there a shortcut or command to hit <F1> from the exterior of the game?

Or is all of this just a sign that it is not booting correctly and I need to fix something? Any idea what that is?

Thanks,
John

the battery on the motherboard is probably dead. it's prompting you to press a key to continue because the BIOS settings have most likely been reset, and will continue to do so at every power up.

you will need to replace the battery, CR2032, and hook up a keyboard to set the BIOS settings accordingly. I'm intrigued that the computer starts up still however if the battery's dead. I don't know what they did for the power button arrangement. cause there's typically a BIOS setting on PC based games that will set it to power on automatically when AC is applied.

While you're at it, double check the caps around the processor. I have come across 2 with caps that have exploded or close to end of its life.
