We have a classic Seidel Smokin' Token that doesn't always recognize the coin pulse from the mech microswitch. By playing with the switch, I can tell that it needs a pulse of a certain length -- more than 100ms, the longest I've seen on any comparitor. My idea is to put some kind of lengthening circuit in between to give the game's logic board the longer pulse it needs to start gameplay. Anyone made one of these? My Google-fu has failed me.

You can try simply adding a .047 ceramic cap across the coin and ground circuits, should stretch the pulse slightly. may have to experiment some with the cap size.

Honestly, Smokin Token is so fussy about timing, (not only the coin switch, but the time to the slot sensors as well) I prefer not using a comparator type mech in this game. Bog standard mechanical roll down type acceptor seems to work best. Adjust the coin switch trip wire to get the timing right and off you go!

old style coin mech is the way to go, as mention above. But if want to go electronic on it, use a "555" timer configured as a one-shot multivibrator. Been there, done that, signed the log!
