I am not going to do it tonight, but it looks like it wants to squeeze out the back. I have a feeling it's not that easy.

Do these need to come out through the front of the game? (top monitor punch out)

they come out the front.

they come out the front.

take out the front glass or plastic, remove the bezel and the 4 screws that hold it in, and it kinda falls out at you. make sure to un hook every cable from the back before removing it. and hold on to it it will literally fall out at you.

so I take it that when "the monitor falls out at me" it will only be the top one if I remove the bezel around the top monitor?

thanks bud, I appreciate it

shure no prob.

the bottom is held in by 4 of its own screws and you need to lift it out of its brackets.

Like the post above says, take out the screws and almost lay the monitor glass first and angle it out the front. Out she should come!

I remember the first time I did this, I tried to go through the back as well :-D

And don't forget to unhook ALL the wires before you try to pull the monitor. The audio amplifier is in the monitor, so you have to unhook the sound input and speaker output, along with the video connector. And coil up the power cord and tuck it into the chassis, so it doesn't get caught on the way out.

thanks guys, I am sure you saved me a bit of heartache and f bombs. I will be thorough before I even pull her out.

If you're doing a cap kit, can you just pull the boards out?

It's not easy to pull the boards out of a mounted Sanyo. Even harder if it's the top monitor in a Punchout. Removing the whole monitor really is the easiest way to work on one of these. Really, removing the whole monitor is not hard. You just have to be sure to disconnect it all first, and you have to take it out the front.

Yeah, for the love of all things curseword...remove it from the front. The whole monitor.I'm still bitching about the struggle I had removing the monitor from the rear of a DK I capped once, and that was only a single monitor machine. I can't even imagine pulling the upper out of a PO from the back.

*gack*
