Just wanted to show this off because I'm very pleased with the result and proud of it.

People who contributed to this:

Guydanger (from BYOAC forum): main vectorizing
Zorg: ironing out some errors and making it perfect (and making it available for download)
Rich from ThisOldGame.com: Printing it, several times actually !
Spyridon: for providing the original Midway Pac Joystick
Superully: for having the Pac joystick powder coated

A friend was so nice to weld threaded studs on the under side so I could install the joystick completely without any carriage bolts :)

Thanks to all !!!

Very nice. Was the original screened on the CP?
I have a couple original puckman boards, hoping to find a cabinet one of these days.

No. At first I actually did think so but it was a vinyl overlay. It had a pretty rare structure though.

The original colors were all saved because of the buttons. The rather large edges around them covered all the colors, there was even some protective film under them still.

If anyone know where to find these kind of buttons I'd like to know....they are just a bit larger than the standard US one's (like the yellow one I retro-fitted).

The color of the buttons is like that, not faded (could check it on the underside).

Nice job, that original joystick was really funky.

Indeed, however I don't think that that was the original joystick. The original was mounted in the four "diagonal" holes. The other holes were made later to install that ugly thing.....to my shame I have to say that that turned out to be a Suzo joystick ! Nothing like the great one's they also made...

That would be pretty strange, considering it's a Suzo stick (Dutch product). Don't think the Japanese used those.

Here's an original Namco CP:

(Washer on the wrong side of course :()

The original Namco joysticks are unique to Namco games I believe, and are somewhat like a cross between a Nintendo stick and the Bally/Midway Pac type sticks. This all mounts below the 1 piece bezel/cpo.
