Anyone here know a good reasonable place to purchase colored wristbands? Opening up a public arcade and wanna use those I believe to keep track of the patrons each day(hence different colors)!

Thanks

If you're just going for a day to day thing (which it sounds like he is, since he wants different colors for different days), the paper ones should be plenty strong enough. It takes some good pull to bust one apart. My local classic arcade uses these, as does the Pinball Expo in Chicago.

If I walk in Tuesday and get a red band, then next week I learn that reds are being used on Friday. What's to stop me from just slapping on the correct color and walking in with the smokers who stepped out for a breather?

I think the better idea is hand stamps. You can buy so many for so cheap and have alot more to choose from to mix up the days, making it way harder to counterfeit the correct day's stamp.

Just a thought.

Yeah, been debating! Only thing is it's hard to see them especially with lights dimmed. Also, I'm running the show with no help sometimes so hard to keep eyes on everything and keep the patrons honest lol

This is an admission only establishment, with all games on free play except for candy cranes and snack/coke machines!

But I like your opinions.....keep em comin!!!

I wonder if you could get them so you could scan them or look at the numbers. This would keep people from reusing them the next week. Where is your arcade located? I would like to check it out sometime.

I doubt someone is gonna wear theirs for a whole week ;) If you make sure you put them on, or watch them put them on, if they're tight enough to not go over their hand, they're gonna have to break or cut them off. The place where they stick is perforated with angles, so if you try and unpeel it, they tear. Is this in an area where you think you might get a bunch of people cheating the system? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. If you see the same person week after week and notice they aren't paying, then I would start worrying :D

Our local race track used wristbands to get into the pits. It was like $20 and that's a ton of money to get a few pit crew people in every week so we cut them and saved them. My driver would go up, pay and come back to unload the car, we'd find the correct color and use clear tape to stick them back on. If you want to prevent that from happening I'd have whoever is handing them out mark the date on with a sharpie. It would be very hard to reuse them if you did that and make the color random so Saturday isn't always blue. Stamps are easy to get around too, lick the stamp and press hand to hand. It doesn't come out perfect but still passible at a glance. Trust me, we were always looking for creative ways to get around paying for stuff..... not that I'd do it now.... :D
