psst- who can burn me some ROMs?

And I don't mean by sending a surge of power through a board.. :D

I can do it for you, but it'd probably not be worth it. You'd have to get me the ROMs you need and send them to me with postage to get them back to you. PITA I'm sure. Then again, it's still cheaper than the $10 per ROM that several commerical and hobby/business places charge. No one local can help you? You close to Mark Spaeth?

Hi Joe,

My publicized rates (listed on my site at the bottom of the page where the EPROMs are) are $3.99 for the first and $1.99 for each additional EPROM/PROM/EEPROM/GAL/PAL on a single order. This also applies to programmable CPUs such as the 8749/8751.

Raymond

Hobbyrom.com will do them. He is in Canada. Just send him an e-mail of what you need. It will take a while for shipping. Also rompingirl on E-bay will burn. SHe also is in Canada. Just send her an E-mail with what you need. Clive at Coinopcauldren will also do roms. Just have to find the best price. They are all good at what they do :)

Hey Raymond, definitely better than the $10 per ROM that I've seen quoted before. I did not accuse you specifically on the $10 price, just quoting prices I've seen (and I had not reviewed your web site before today). Do you require the person to buy the ROMs from you? Or can they mail you the ROMs? Do your prices include return shipping?

I used to charge more, but lowered the prices. There was a similar post on another forum about the high rates back just after I lowered them so I posted there about it. I simply thought I'd post here too just to make sure that folks knew my rates were cheaper.

I don't require people to buy ROMs from me. Some folks have had ROMs/Timekeeper/PROMs shipped directly to me from elsewhere (such as Timekeeper chips from mouser.com). It doesn't hurt my feelings if folks buy chips elsewhere. Hell, I've even had customers buy chips from me, discover their programmers won't do those chips, and ship them back to me for programming. ;)

Shipping is not included.
