Pssst... want to see a DECO security dongle, naked? ;)

I took a spare DECO cassette system security dongle I had and managed to remove all the plastic cast around it, so I thought I'd post a picture for those whom are curious. My plan is to remove the EPROM and replace it with a ZIF socket for experimentation. The electrolytic cap in the lower left caught hell in the process but I can still read its value for replacement.

Not a great pic as my POS .000001 megapixel camera isn't working well:

I don't think anybody cares but here's a better pic, the other one was pretty useless and I wanted an excuse to try my new camera:

Very cool, always neat to see inside of these things. Hopefully someone will dump "The Climber" one of these days - saw a video of the gameplay once, looked like a hoot!

Hopefully someone can make another multi kit or even just a way to play a single game without the tape. I have a nice fully-working DECO cocktail in my storage that has a rebuilt monitor and a working tape drive. Problem is EVERY tape I've bought to try to play has been bad. So it sits and waits patiently for that special day...

I'd like to at LEAST see some kind of solid state replacement for the single game tapes invented, it kills me to think of how many cabs are toast just because of them, some of the games are pretty cool and worthy of preservation.

Never heard of it, what's it like? Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory and Angler Dangler have always been my grails.
