PSN still down (The store is back up - get yout free games!)

SOE has been breached too...CC numbers stolen.

For anyone who has had an SOE account for PC stuff, better double check your shit. Think Everquest, Planetside etc

I thought that the article I read on the SOE attack said that they got account data from current subscribers. The list of info stolen from this list did not include the Credit Cards numbers. The Credit Card numbers stolen were from a data base from 2007, containing 12,700 non-US credit and debit card numbers. Additionally 10,000 Direct Debt cards from Austria, Germany, Netherlands, and Spain.

That being said, I just skimmed over it since I did not have card info with them, so my I could be wrong.

Don't get me wrong my card would be canceled fast if I had an account with them. I would assume my card info was stole. since Sony obviously can not be trusted.

I got the SOE email as well. I am surprised that those accounts were accessable from the PSN servers since that was the first thing I tried to use when I got my PS3 but they did not work. Interestingly enough the username I wanted to get on PSN was not available because it was my username on SOE.

However, I've never actually used SOE before, and if there was any card info on it would have been long gone by now. My SOE account was created a real long time ago when I worked for Sony, but that account was grandfathered in from SonyStyle. Its odd to see that account still exists in their system.

Evil one among us!

:D

Worked there twice actually. First time was CE (not Playstation tho) and second time it was VAIO. In my second stint, I was bestowed with the title of "Mr Sony" after the original Mr Sony left for another job. Those were some good times.

Yeah...exactly my point.

1: I haven't played Planetside in over 3 years

2: I'm not in the US...

Obviously my card has a new expiry date, but I'm not sure if the number changed. It's pretty easy to figure out the expiry date on the next card, based on the old one, as it will be within 2-4 years <->

It will be VERY VERY easy for me to spot if it gets used though. That card has a 0 balance, so if I get a new bill...

So 30 days of plus, 30 days of Qriocity (where available), a free content download, and 1 year of Debix's AllClear ID protection plan. Did I miss anything?

The PlayStation Network has been down for a while now. We've been warned that it may be down for a little while longer. Now Sony says it could be weeks still before the PSN is fully operational.

Sony's Shigenori Yoshida has told Bloomberg that his company's deadline for the full return of all PlayStation Network services is May 31. The PSN went down on April 20. That's nearly six weeks of downtime if it takes that long for the entire network to be restored to full operation.

While you'd assume/hope that signing into the network and playing games online are the first things to come back up, and in a much quicker timeframe than May 31, Yoshida says that Sony is "uncertain" when the PSN will actually get back up and running.

this is just starting to get stupid, another 3 weeks.
super SONY can't do any better than this???
I'd bet a bunch of college kids would have already gotten it up and running by now

PSN Might still be down, but I was able to get the 3.6 firmware update on Saturday...

Updates are separate from PSN, so it's possible to keep getting updates without being logged in.

I'm really starting to miss playing Black Ops now. Boo! Sadly I'm not surprised by their lack of updates at this point. You can even look at their official blog and see the last post was 4 days ago and the last comment from someone was yesterday. Wonder if apathy is setting in now?
