PS4 Im so excited

Oh I know but thats why Im usualy a console behind on everything cause I dont want to pay the high prices. Plus I dont play all that often anyway.

I don't have time right now to play my PS3. I know of two games that I still haven't opened yet.
I know, WTF right?

I wish I only had 2 games I haven't played...hell, I still have MGS Snake Eater and Final Fantasy XII in plastic somewhere that I never got around to playing (both on PS2).

PS4 needs to have something else to it. There are no new media types they can support. I've been saying that they should have an input port so you can upscale other devices to the HD TV. If it doesn't have that, I won't be buying it.

I can definitely fall in to the "generation behind" bracket. I have such a long backlog for my PS3. I'm not ready for a new console, really. I've been picking up a lot of games and consoles from previous generations that I missed out on. Mainly Sega.

That said, I'm excited to see a new Sony console all the same. I hope that Sony learns from the PS3 and pushes forward in conjunction with the Vita's capabilities.

I'm waiting for the PS4 to come out so I can buy a "cheap" PS3 and play FFXIII and Ni No Kuni.

Ni No Kuni is unbelievable! Easily one of the best JRPG's I've ever played. No hyperbole there!

lemme know when it's hacked, lol. I'm not buying any new consoles after this generation. Zero interest in the Wii1.1, Xbox720 or PS4.

Unless they're hacked, then... maybe.

Ni No Kuni is great. I usually get tired of RPGs because I have no patience, but it's like I'm playing sort of a Zelda clone... by studio Ghibli, so I'm still going. Only at lvl 11 or so, but its pretty cool. Havent quite got the hang of the battle system tho. Not too jazzed about only being able to use one character at a time, and having one health bar, but its still pretty fun.

anyone picking up a PS4 today??

here's my story.... went to work ealry this morning. we got a target w/ the starbucks directly across the street from my work. me and a few of my co-workers walked over there this morning (for coffee :) ).

talked to my manager friend in electronics and he told me they got over 50 ps4 units and there was no one waiting in line this morning! doh. they still had plenty left @ 9am, i just couldnt talk myself into buying one yet. just not super excited about playing another military game or assasins creed. when we left they still had plenty of units, manager friend said "they should be well stocked for xmas."

anyone else on the hunt today for one to PLAY or FLIP?

I haven't bought into the hype of the PS4 yet. As far as hardware specs go, PS4 trumps the PS3. But there still using x86 processors?? Why!

The hard drive, you literally have to rip the ps4 apart to get to, in order to replace which is something I would do, cause space can fill up quickly with all the data you have to install per disk, let alone downloads.

Anyways I didn't see any "groundbreaking" titles that released with the system yet. I rarely touch the PS3 as it is anymore also. Still have yet to play thru GTA5, and the only reason I have that game is because my brother bought it (and borrowed my system a while).

Once prices drop a bit (may be a while) I'll consider it. But for now I have a feeling a close friend of mine is getting one by x-mas so I'll have a chance to experience the system in person and then I'll make up my mind.

There are some good points to the system thou. They aren't locking the disks to the system, so you can rent / trade / swap them out. The online pass deal's seem to be fading out (I hated that bullsh*t). Also the touch pad on the controller seems like it was a fun to use with the games. The preview from the Jimmy Fallen show seemed like younger kids might enjoy the whole robots in the controller deal. But that requires more cash for the camera...

Network stays the same, and you can interact (somewhat) with people on PS3 as far as friends lists go.

So yeah.. right now I'm avoiding it.. and it seems most of my PS3 friends haven't bought into the hype yet either.

Buddy of mine got his and is apparently streaming something about it on his site. He went and got a sports game lol. What a waste of money. I still have zero desire to buy one.

I have the "oh a new console" feeling but as far as actually wanting to buy one... Pass.

???

The CPU uses the AMD64 instruction set, with compatibility for x86 instructions.

Why wouldn't they use x86 it is the most developed disc processor out there. Power PC processor development has ground to a halt and most RISC development is arm based processors.

The 360 was a power PC and the GameCube, Wii and wiiu are as well. The ps3 instruction set as far as I know is power pc compatible. Not sure though.

A few of my friends got theirs today and will most likely flip them to desperate holiday shoppers. They are in no rush to start playing and don't mind waiting for more releases before actually buying one when they are readily available.

I'll wait for a couple of years when PS4 and Xbox One are established and gone through a price drop (Down to $299-349?). And you all know they will release Slim models too. I bought a PS3 Slim for the first time earlier this year on the cheap and still have a ton of games to play.

This is my play also. So hard to wait...

Got one for the kids (I say) as my oldest wants the new Kingdom Hearts when it is released. Have a pre-order with Amazon I am tempted to cancel as it is due mid Dec, but maybe someone will need one here and I will be the hero! A christmas present regardless. Not sure if there is a time limit on the PS3 upgrade downloads though.

I just returned mine. My unit was getting extremely hot after 20 mins and cod ghost was stuttering during play. The game didnt look all that great either. Guess ill wait ti out for 6 months after fix some bugs and by then there will be a better amount of game sout
