PS3 Prices

When I can get one for $100 or so I might bite. There are only about 3-4 games I would play on it anyway. Wii and PC have kept me plenty busy this gen.

I still can't believe PS3/Xbox360 cost as much as they do, and people actually pay for them.

because they are multitaskers, not a gimmick that gets old in a month

These aren't made by Fisher Price :)

They provide a lot of value for the money. I use mine as my sole Blu-ray player and I have quite a few games for all of the next gen systems.

Think about it this way. You can't purchase a PC with the same specs for less can you?

I got the 250GB PS3 slim and have barely put much on it yet. I have the 120GB 360 Elite and have filled it up twice and had to clean it out. A lot of it is from downloadable games, but the majority is due to installing the disc games.

I'll admit that I like the PS3 and the exclusive games for it are amazing, but more people I know have 360, so I don't do much online gaming with it. That and some of the multiplayer limitations compared to the 360 really annoy me, though to many they won't matter.

At the moment, the PS3 gets used more for DVD and BR playback than anything else, though when Uncharted 3 comes out this year, I'll likely play nothing but that for a good while :)

For this generation, I have mostly Wii games (something like 80+, I'd imagine), then 360 games, and then PS3 - but that's bound to happen since I really only get exclusives for it. Out of all of them, the 360 gets the most play, though I've been doing more and more PC gaming as of late since I finally have a pretty decent system.

Try your local pawn shops, if they are reputable or national chains, and you may find a good one cheap.

Our local pawn shows have various model PS3s for $129 with a 30-day warranty.

I got a PS3, 360, and Wii there at a fraction of the cost of the new ones. Same with the handhelds, had them for years with no problems.

I had a ps3 and sold it, It was great for exclusives like motorstorm or uncharted but that was it, I found my self questioning with every game purchase if I wanted to play online with friends or not. My game library was like 8 games and it just collected dust.

xbox all the way ;)
