PS2 - Slim or Fat?

Avoid the fat!!! All they do is lock up during games and the trays jam leaving your game stuck inside or unable to insert a game. I went through 3 of them before the slim came out. We still have the slim and it gets played regularly by the 8 yr old.

I've got to argue against that ^ point. I had a fat launch PS2, and that lasted me all the way until I bought my launch PS3 (had to have over 2000 hours on it, zero problems).

Same here - I've never had any problems with my launch PS2. I say that now...perhaps I should go turn it on when I get home...

Never had that problem either, and it's not a commonly touted issue...hell it's not touted at all.

Maybe sohchx has an 8 year old that liked to put sammiches in the drive tray! Peanut butter is sticky ya know...
