Doubtful. If it is, then I might be willing to spring for it as well. But even if it is, it'll probably be free for X number of months and then way too much every month.

I passed on the 3g version to. I have fiber internet at home and wifi at work. If I plan on going on a trip I would plan accordingly and just load it up before I leave. Not really interested in another bill not to mention AT&T.

Just another way to fleece the hell out of you. Fail! I won't be buying one of these. Why buy any of these current or upcoming portable systems with their tiny screens for $250 or more when I can get a PS3,360,or Wii (with established game libraries) for cheaper that I can play on my beautiful,huge HDTV?
I'll probably get the WiFi only version. I won't get a AT&T subscription.
And to answer gutsman004's question, of why get this instead of a home console - some of us spend 10 - 15 hours on the bus each week, but don't have that many hours at home to play a PS3. If I'm going to be on a bus that much every week, I might as well be playing some games.

My sentiments exactly, although I typically use mine when flying for business or killing time at the hotel. My trips would be miserable without my psp.

Well you don't play them at home obviously.. but if you travel a lot it's cool to have something to entertain you. Maybe TMI but they also provide pretty good entertainment if you're gonna be in the bathroom for a while lol
I'm really psyched about it, they finally got it right with the dual sticks and the tech is there to pull off games the way they should be done.. finally playing first/third person shooters on the go without any handicaps will be awesome (PSP Socom was pretty cool but just never felt "right", playing any shooter with just one stick never would imo)
I doubt I'll get one at launch but interested in how the 3g plans will work out
edit: just read more of the specs, man they really got this one right. Was just thinking I hoped they did away with the UMD and how they could distribute games on memory cards, sure enough they did just that. Also with the touch screen one equipped with a 3g data plan might be enough to cancel the data plan on my phone and just use the PSP instead.. well maybe

Disappointed the US wont be getting a release this year. Trailer looks cool I cant wait to play this in the bathroom at work ;-)

Just pre-ordered the wifi version through Amazon last night. We'll see.....I suppose if it starts to look shaky I can cancel up to release day. AS of now its looking pretty good.

I preordered the 3G version as soon as Gamestation was taking preorders. I could get 15gb data for £10 on contract with 3.
It's a shame that it's been delayed in the UK till February.
I have a 3DS and what let it down was the launch games. So hoping VITA delivers on that front.

Well it's something, but I'm not happy that I'll have to again pay for a game I already own.
Agreed. Though if they charge, say, $20 for the game on PSN and allow you to pay $5 when you register the game on your account, I suppose that's about as fair as you can get. Though it makes me wonder what would stop people from registering the same game across multiple accounts. If they have a way to prevent the same UMD from being registered multiple times, then they'd also be able to give you your registered games for free, so...
