PS trimmer potentiometer

Although the original pot was a 2w unit, the circuit is only a reference signal back to the regulator and therefore doesn't handle any significant amounts of current.

That 1/2w you spec'd should work just dandy and 1k is the correct resistance.

Generally I personally don't care to use multiturn pots for applications such as this, due to the number of turns in that style pot, it takes alot of cranking to make moderate adjustments. Also the adjustment "screw" is small and if you are old like me and have "oven-mitt" hands those adjustments suck.. :) But to answer your question, it will work...

Great to know, that's exactly what I was wondering!

Depending on how impatient I get, I'll either throw that in (yeah, the multi-turn bit would be annoying, but not something that has to be changed much), or just wait until my next parts order and pick up a couple of the stock trimmer pots.
