Protel 7000 Payphone... How to adjust speaker volume?

Everyone I call on my Protel 7000 payphone tells me that they can barely hear me. I thought that replacing the receiver would fix the problem, but it has not. Is there an adjustment anywhere that would resolve this? I am using MagicJack with a long phone cord. Could that be the issue? Thanks.

[EDIT] I guess the title of the thread is misleading; I know how to adjust the earpiece volume. I need to know how to adjust the "outgoing" volume. I don't know the correct term for this.

Don't know about you having it with MagicJack. With POTS I've saw volume improve by reversing ring and tip.

FWIW I have one normal phone and my payphone hooked up to magicjack and mine works fine.

POTS stands for "plain old telephone service" and he's talking about the phone cord wires BTW.

Yes, POTS= "plain old telephone service and the ring and tip is the red wire and green wire in the wires from the pots to your phone.
ShanMan is your phone one of the older ones or is a programmable phone?
