Anyone ever user Krylon Triple Thick to protect a flaking/pealing front glass? Any tips or guides?

Any one use any other product or procedure?

Thanks!

yes, Krylon triple thick works great on flaking marquees and bezel I used it a few times. spray it lightly in 3 coats or so, it dries quick, don't spray too close to avoid drips. seals and protects your art, great stuff.

this walk-through is written for pinball backglasses but it applies just as well to video game bezels and marquees...

I read through that... and got a lot of help from the guys in the pinball forum too.
I did a really bad Charlie's Angels back glass last January and there are some pictures of before, during and after... along with fairly explicit description of the steps I took... at this link:

Hope it helps.

Is there a way of touching up small areas that might be flaking, just like say a cpl of quarters size?

I have a robot tron bezel that is 98% perfect.. just wanna seal the lil flaky bits.

whatever you do don't use painters tape to art on glass when you peal the tape off it'll take the art right off

Seal it with Triple Thick first... covering the areas needing repair ( I use Vaseline) before spraying the triple thick. Let that dry for at least a full day... wipe of the Vaseline and clean those bare areas well, then paint them using acrylic paints from the craft store.

If they are translucent (lighted from behind) then it's a different process because straight painting it will block the light and call attention to the repair.

Also remember, when color matching, the paint will be a slightly different color when dry... either lighter or darker... I don't remember which.
