Just finished up my TMNT for my 6yr olds birthday party tomorrow and it looks great!! BUT I have adjusted the leaf switches several times and they play game me for a few minutes then they move and lose contact and need to be readjusted again. My son and I played through the entire game and we had to stop 5-6 times to bend the leafs back so they make contact. I plan to order new gromits and new leafs but is there any way to temporarily fix the issue? I can't see standing next to the machine for his entire bday party tomorrow adjusting them so kids can play.

I'm glad you got the monitor in time, I saw your wanted thread and had my fingers crossed for you.

Can you post a picture of the underneath of your control panel? That might help someone diagnose what's going on

Maybe make sure you have the switches installed correctly? One side of the switch has a second metal piece behind it, which is what keeps it in adjustment. This piece should go on the outside, furthest from the shaft, and is what you should be bending in and out to adjust the switch. If it is on the inside (closest to the shaft), you will keep bending it out of adjustment as you play.

Also, make sure the switches are clean. If not, clean them by inserting a business card or other piece of thin cardboard (mac and cheese box, etc) between the contacts, pinch, and pull it out. Do not use sandpaper or any other abrasive.

But yes, post pics also, so we can check for anything else.

Thanks for the tips, I have them all in with the 2 metal tabbed side away from the shaft. BUT I was adjusting the leafs more then the 2td metal tab. So that is probably my problem. I did clean the leaf contacts with 600 grit sand paper very lightly but hope I did not scre them up doing it.

As far as the monitor goes, I did not find one in time for a reasonable price (under $200) so I pulled the monitor from my bowling and am in the process of putting a LCD in bowling. I figured TMNT deserved a proper monitor more then bowling does.
