Proper switching power supply for a Sega Power Drift?

I have a non working Power Drift and think I need a new power supply, which one should I use? I have a new monitor in it and am trying to figure out if I have a PCB problem or power problem.

Thanks

you can replace it with any PC ATX style power supply to save money, but you may have to cut the ends off your old one to hook it up, else pay like 90.00 for one already setup drop in peter chou replacement.

I just put a standard 15A switcher in my sega games.

One tip, clean up those terminal strips that the GND and 5VDC lines use as a junction. The white and yellow wires. They can reduce the voltage. Always measure the +5 at the board so you know it's getting what it needs, as there is often a drain between the supply and the board itself on these games.

Can you tell me how to measure the +5 at the board? I may be experiencing the power drop as you suggested because it used to play but would shut off during a game or I could leave it on and come back 30 min. later and it would be off. When you say check the junction where the white and yellw wires are, do you mean the ones in the bottom of the cabinet?

Thanks

I agree - I used the same switcher on a Sega / Gremlin Zaxxon, and it is working just fine. Be careful to leave in the transformer, since it may be used as an ISO for the monitor.
