Proper sequence for entering/exiting set-up on Tapper...

I've fumbled through it up till now but, today I can't seem to get the setting I want on Tapper to save.

Do you flip the setup switch first then turn of the power?

Or do you turn off the power, then switch the set-up switch?

and after you're done set up what the propers sequence???

Slide switch inside coin door over to the left turn on game finish adjusting settings then slide switch back to right.

So, I'd be pretty confident in saying your Tapper works correctly and mine does not. Any idea what could be causing mine to not switch back to game mode. When I follow the sequeence you have outlined. When I switch to go back to game mode. The set up screen is frozen, no controls do anything. Then I turn it off the back on and it works.

I don't even have a slam switch. I purchased one from another KLOVer but it's not here yet. If I touch the slam switch wires together it starts making a loud "alarm" sound. I don't know how to stop this either without turning the game off, then back on again!!!

edit - i stand corrected, after checking on my tron. you switch the test switch, then close the slam switch. it will make the alarm type sound, beeping 5 or 6 times and then going into test mode. switching the test mode switch back at that point should put it back into game mode. i'd check the wiring to the switch to make sure it's solid and no wires have broken off.

Wern't you the guy with the phantom scores repeating themselves on the high score table? If so maybe that is corrupting the test mode somehow

OK, I had my Tapper off since Monday to do some work on the monitor, that was a bust. But that's another story. Anyway, today I turned it back on and followed the proper steps to enter setup. But again it would not hold the settings after I turn it off and then back on to get back to the game. It seems the game has to be on a certain period of time for perhaps a battery to charge??? I guess the real problem is the fact that flipping the setup switch back to game does not put my Tapper back to game. it basically freezes the set up menu and I have to flip the power switch off then on to get back to game.

I'm getting pretty sure this problem will be directly related to the phantom high score issue!!!

I'm not even sure where/what is the battery, I know when I bought the game from Todd Tuckey a employee there mentioned it had a new battery installed but I've looked inside and don't see anything that is "new" and looks like it could be a battery!!!
