Proper Blades & Biscuits???

I got a porter cable 555 plate joiner tonight. It does have a blade but I have no idea if its really any good or not.

1) Anyway what are the correct size blades and biscuits to buy?
2) Are there better quality items that I should buy compared to cheaper ones?
3) How the hell do you use it properly on a arcade cab?

There's nothing arcade specific, but what are you trying to do with it? It's a joinery tool. While not super accurate (they allow for some movement), biscuits are good for alignment of panels and a strong glue joint.

Oh, and do a search for plate/biscuit joiner on Youtube and you will find some good demonstrations.

I just need to know what size biscuits to use to fix the bottom of some cabs. I plan to put a new bottom, front & say 4 inches or so on each side of a mspac.

I then have a stargate the needs some love too...

The certain size blade will go with certain size biscuits. You need to find the manual online. I found the manual for an older PC dovetail jig, so they're out there.

You may be able to check the size of the blade, then go to HD/Lowes and see if the current PC joiner has the same size blade, then buy the biscuits they sell.
