I have a Star Fire PCB that has 11 Rockwell 2816 eeproms. (masked roms)

I need to purchase 12 new or "used erased" eeproms to program.

The intent is to write the Star Fire II code to the eeproms.

Can anyone suggest a place to purchase these eeproms or the best alternative option, such as intel 2816 eeproms

I do not want to restrap the board if I can help it.
If I have to restrap, then how is it done?

Is anyone available to do this service?

Should be able to just use 2716's with no modifications. The pinouts of both devices are almost identical - the only difference being pin 21. On a 2816, it's the /WE pin, but on a 2716, it's VPP. So, on a board set up for 2816's, /WE should be tied high - which is what you would want to do to the VPP line anyway.

So, just use 2716's - they're much easer to find. Just be sure to avoid TI 2716's, for the obvious reasons.

I have 2716 eproms if you need them. I have a few extra eeproms I special ordered in for someone and ordered a few extra. I would have to see which type they are as I dont recall off the top of my head. Im thinking they are what your looking for.

Nope, just checked and these are 4 meg eeproms. I do have 2716 if you decide to use them.

And if Riptor doesn't have enough, I got you covered.

Ok, it looks like my Rockwell chips are actually 2316 B. Should have read the schematics. Anyhow, yes intel 2716's should be a match. Please PM me with your prices.
