grabbed myself a cheap cab that had a sf2 world board in it
but im having some problems with the sound

i can hear the background music but i only get half the sound (like its a mvs board only plugged into mono)
i also do not get any of the fighter sounds

i wnat to use this in my jamma board cab but before i go drilling 3 new button holes id like to get this problem fixed

it does the same thing in the original cab it was in or my sega stv cab

where should i start i pulled up a manual but i see no options for switching from mono to streeo or vice versa

looks like its standard jamma with a kick harness
am i missing somthing are there more than 1 sound pot on these boards
would no -5 volt cause this problem (still gotta check to see if eiter cabs have that wired)

any help is great and thanks in adv

SFII is mono. No second pot (although some older capcom games DID have a second pot! one for music, one for sfx).

-5vdc is not used (except for cabinet/coindoor lamps, perhaps).

you probably have one bad sound rom. SFII boards are cheap, i'd just buy another.

i have a board. works 100% when i tested it. pulled it out of a SF2 thinking i was going to convert it to a CPS2 game. then the cab fell off my truck and the monitor went through the bezel. glass was everywhere...
let me go double check who, what, where. PM me if you interested.
