I was just curious, on a cab I have, it doesnt look like it has green at all. When I got into test mode, I see no green period.

I saw the post that says could be knobs, cold solder joints, etc. Also that you may be able to use a rejuevator. My question is when people need to rejuevate a tube, is the color all the way gone normally, or just really weak. On the test screen, green just looks like black.

I tried adjusting the pots, but the ones for green dont seem to do anything that I can tell.

And I dont know the chassis or tube off the top of my head, I will check that when I get home and post that as well.

That could be a loss of signal in the green circuit or a short in the tube for the green. A rejuvenator is a quick method of testing the tube but you can test the chassis as well once you identify it.

Most of the time I use a rejuvenator is when a color is completely gone, but they can be used effectively to balance colors as well.

I will get what type of chassis it is this evening when I get home. This may be a stupid question, but could the board not be sending that color to the monitor? The board seems a bit flakey. I havent had alot of time to work on it yet since I just got it.

Are you talking about the game board or the monitor board? Either one (or the tube) could be the problem. If you suspect the game board you could always hook up a different boadr or plug the monitor into a different cab.

I thought about hooking up another board just in case to test it. But its not jamma .

I will tinker with it some more in the evenings this week. Gonna try and learn on this one since I got it cheap. And if I cant fix it, shouldnt have trouble selling it for what I paid for it.

Yeah, that is not Jamma but that doesn't stop you from plugging it into another machine. Usually if you put machines close together, back to back, you can plug the power and game signal cables in from another machine. This will allow you to determine if the game board is the problem.

Well, the color green is back now. I didnt do anything. All we did was have it on for a couple hours over the weekend. Maybe something heated up enough to make a better connection. At least if it goes out again, I know its not the tube needing to be rejuevanated.
