**** UPDATE V. linearity pot has fixed things for me ***** I'll leave the post so people can see what is was doing in case the same thing happens to them ****

I installed a Bob Robert's cap kit on my Hantarex Polo 25.

Now I have this:

Boxes are supposed to be same size top and bottom.

Image was not like this before and I've tried with all adjustments.

Any suggestions?

considering you re-capped this, it probably means nothing more than whoever had the game before you adjusted the vertical linearity when the rest of the chassis needed caps. don't quote me on it, but it could be your replacement caps were slightly different values from the originals.. any number of things.

I'm sure you saw that ugly cap map I made, adjusting the vertical linearity requires using a small screwdriver, I'm sure I used like a little jewelry one. adjusting it however will require you to set up a mirror of some sort, or have someone that notices these types of things to help guide you while you change it. you could do what I did and just turn it a little bit and go look at it again until you get it right too lol. it doesn't require a huge turn, I just can't remember which direction you turn that pot, so you'll have to experiment.

check this out if you haven't seen it already: http://www.organizedmassconfusion.org/hantarex-polo-maintenance/

other little preventative maintenance shit to follow, I suppose. I'm leaning towards if you got it working and all is well with the world though, you will be done messing with it for awhile after you get the vertical linearity straightened out.

Thanks for the helpful links. Yah I saw your cap map. I actually updated some stuff on it and relinked, just to find out some other guy beat me to it in another thread. :)

Nevertheless mine is available as a viewable in on your thread for people to find as well.

I did find that messing with the vertical linearity fixed things. I am just trying to resolve these feint diagonal lines that scroll. I have tightened every grounding braid I can find and have cleaned the contacts where the grounds attach to the ISO transformer, but no dice.

I also have this odd thing happening where occasionally the image will shake up and down very quickly.
