I have a Big Bertha machine and the gate that holds back the balls keeps malfunctioning. After messing with it a bit, it will work for a decent number of plays. However, it will always end up acting like the motor is strained and just stops trying turn the motor at all. Is there a component that needs replacing in this situation? The motor works perfect when actually wants to go and shows no signs of being burnt or worn out. There's a big polypropolene capacitor on motor as well, but I don't know if that could be causing the issue. Any thoughts?

Did you make sure the bar is securely connected to the motor shaft? Over time the bolt can wear down the shaft. Just an idea. I haven't had one of these in a while.

Yes, everything is intact. The stupid thing works for a half day or so just fine, no hangups, no stammering, no issues. Then all of a sudden it will try and start and then just not move anymore.
