Those will not convert vector to raster graphics.
Are you thinking color vector or BW vector? There is a guy working on (or is it ready?) a vector to VGA adaptor board (vectorvga?).

cheers

Those boards convert raster RGB signals to TV and VGA raster signals, respectively. They are not compatible in any way with vector hardware.

Any idea when this would be coming out? Also do you have a link?
I might be picking up an asteroids cocktail and I don't know if the monitor works or not.

The thing about vector monitors are that, if the tube itself isn't broke, then it can usually be repaired. I would spend hours trying to fix the original hardware before I thought about buying some crappy converter.

Its for the color vectors... the BW are much simpler to deal with and more abundant too.

Hmmmm but regardless any vector monitor would be hard to find here

Of course I would try to fix, I'm just wondering incase it wasn't fixable.

Since we're on the subject of vectors. I just noticed Arcade Legends cabs have raster and vector games. How do the vector games in the Arcade Legends cabs look? And do Arcade Legends cab use PC monitors, or CRT?

I have an Ultracade cocktail that has Asteroids and Tempest on it. They look "okay" I guess. I'm sure they don't look as stunning as they would with a real vector monitor though.

The cocktail cabinet has a CRT in it...

Keep in mind that the vectorvga product only works on the the following:

Tempest
Space Duel
Atari Gravitar
Black Widow
Quantum

You will not be able to hook it up to an Asteroids...

We sell them here at work and I think they look like shit. Unless there is something drastically wrong with our floor model. The screen seems to be a bit shaky at times and colors arent defined on some games.
