I Picked up a Primal Rage a few days ago with a blown PSU. I got to looking at diagrams in the manual to make sure I wire the PSU right.
Well it seems like the Diagrams are not the same as the actual Wiring. Unless I'm missing something or just a dumb@ss.
I think this is what I have at the pin-out: 4 Brown Ground, 3 Red +5, 2 R&W First and second player start?, 2 Yellow +12v.
Its nothing like it says in the manual.... I'm missing the -5 in the diagram it say should be there, and it seems like it was never there.... all the zip ties & build Tags are tight on the harness and it all looks stock with no hack jobs.
the guy I got it from had the wiring wrote down in the back, but I think that is wrong as well...
I got all my wiring bunched up in the back as to the way I think it hooks to the psu.
Red +5, Yellow +12, Brown Gnd,
If anyone has more info on this it would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to blow a new psu up right out of the gate on this thing.
this is the Manual in reference

There is no neg 5 on primal rage.

Brown is ground, red is +5v, yellow is +12v

Check my PR thread, I'm pretty sure there are pics of the power supply there.

I went and looked at your thread, I think I'm on track for sure! I had a little lock-nut fall out from the board area somewhere when I pulled the tray. Maybe it was on the board somewhere and blew the supply. Am I good to pull filter board off and go right to the board?, In my experience they can make more problems.

Yep ditch it.
