I picked up a primal rage today.

Cosmetically its okay.. The t-molding is the wrong color
and the side art is trashed.

Does anyone have a source for the side art?

The game plays blind but the monitor doesnt work.
Is the game EGA resolution? It has a NEOTEC NT-2515C monitor.

Any suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting it?

How do I gain access to the CPU board? The rear door opens and exposes
the monitor but not the CPU board.

is it dedicated(klov pic is dedicated)? if so you open the control panel from the front (key under the glass and 2 security screws. Then the board slides out.

monitor is standard resolution.

Don't think you will find that side art.kit side art pretty sure is smaller.

Yes it is a dedicated as pictured on klov.

I saw the front key figuring it was to open the control
panel but turning the key doesnt release it. There are
screws in addition to the key?

The service manual is not very helpful.

Okay found the bolts.. right in front of my eyes.. duhh

I assume the joysticks in the game are 8 way joysticks?

I assume primal rage is a jamma cabinet? Would a 60 in 1
work in it? I'm thinking their might be audio issues given the subwoofer
in primal rage.

It will work, but you'll never get that monitor to flip in the cabinet without some major work. If your board gets fried you'll know it doesn't work. :)

Yes it's Jamma... and you'll be able to place just about any other board in the large slot that you take the PR from... those are huge, heavy PCBs that will kill a horse if dropped, lol.

They do make horizontal multicades.. but looking at them.. they suck.

I'll keep it dedicated.. now to find that side art.

best use probably would be the cps2 multi board, blue elf 302, or the 10xx in 1. plently of room to add the buttons to SF config.
