A coworker of mine used to work for Atari (Designed the hardware on Area 51 among other things) and he mentioned to me that he had the Primal Rage II board and drive with the last version of the software that was developed. The game never went into production. I know there is at least one cabinet out there in the world that has been put together with this so it may not be entirely new. But thought I'd post the video anyway in case anyone is interested. Enjoy.

Yes, Brian told me that you need 6 buttons and skillz to transform into the dino. He's willing to give me a copy of the HD data. The hardware is unique though. He tells me it's basically a Sony Playstation with a hard-drive card added. It should be fairly easy to emulate. The game is just a prototype though and not quite complete.

Hummm, maybe it could be made to run on Namco's System 11?

The Namco System 11 is an arcade system board released by Namco in 1994. The actual hardware is based on the Sony PlayStation

I've been waiting for one of these/a dump for a while now, thanks for the vid Jehuie

That is really awesome to finally see that this game really does exist. It looks very similar to KI2 in a lot of ways though. Does anyone know why this game was scrapped? It may have done real well, and it doesn't look bad at all for 1996.

The Sega ST-V is pretty much a Sega Saturn. :p Gotta get some of the old PSX/Saturn rivalry going again.

It would be pretty awesome to get it running on some more "standard" hardware, running through a card or cloned drive. Though it may be a real pain to do so.

insert conversation about the Taito G-NET board with the CF adapter. Its all been done. Just probably need to update the driver/bios to match the hardware clocks to the PR2 board. I think the rumor was that they were going to add Primal Rage to the G-NET games.

I believe he said something about it not going into production because of drive speed / performance issues. I'll have to verify that though.
