Hi guys. Can anyone give me an idea on what price would be on a nicer Meteor machine that has just gone through by a tech. Plays great and is 8.5 cosmetically. Thanks,

Kurt

Because Stern built over 10,000 Meteors, they are quite common.
I really love mine, it absolutely kicks ass, will never sell it.
Unfortunately not worth much more than 800, I got mine for five in really nice shape.
A real bang for your buck pinball and the sounds build tension into a high pitched whine the longer the ball stays in play, fun drop targets, a sweet backhand left flipper shot, right side spinner shot, its got a lot going for it.

ive never seen one sell for anywhere near $800 fully working. they are more in the $450- $550 range tops. i own 4 of them and have bought the past 3 years.
all worked. bought from different people.
very very common game.
now , if it has a NOS playfield, plastics, backglass etc...then yeah, $800- $1100...

Thank you both, Cocktails and MK! The machine I'm looking at was originally at $1,000, and then I talked them down to 700, which I feel is still kinda high. $600 seems more reasonable..

Yes, I loved playing this machine in 1980 at the 7-11. Never a big Stern fan, but this one converted me. The sounds and colors are a feast for the senses! Thanks again!
