Price range on Joust cocktail?

i'll be reproducing the cabinet for that soon.. expect it to be in the 400.00 range for an empty cabinet with the correct lamination.

$500-$700 working in decent shape. $1k if nice. $400 is fair for bad monitor.

Make sure it has the paper monitor bezel. Not easy to make that one...

Only 500 were made.. IIRC.. I would not sell mine for less than $1500.. Just got the new overlays on a few months ago.. One of the best cocktails ever made IMO...

Really guys.. 1000+?!? You sound like operators. The market for games has dropped a lot in the last few years. Thats like the price spike for Trons. Now they are starting to level off and drop back down to prices before the new movie. And where does this 'only 500' ever made number come from? Does anyone now if thats a fact?

It's not like Tron. Joust cocktails have been very valuable for as long as I've been in the hobby. It's a grail machine.

I'd have to agree. It's been a long time since I've seen one of these sell for over $800 tops. I had a cherry one and it took me a long time to sell at $600 here in So Cal. And that was about 3 years ago when the market was better. Sweet machine though!

Was offered $1300 for mine last month from a local collector. Turned it down.. I guess it all depends on condition.. Mine is almost done being restored. New Overlays, burn free rebulit G07, rebuilt Ps.. Guess you could find a beat up one for 800 or less:D

Yes its rare but it is just Joust. We sold 3 at once for around $500 convertered. 1 we restored and sold for around $700-$800 from what I recall 10 years ago. Its a neat cabinet but I really like the UR better. $400-$1000 depending on who wants it. Kind of like Robotron in a Cocktail or Tempest in a cocktail. Those 3 games are better as UR games. I know the scans for the CPO, Scorecards, and coin door are there. If a repro were completed of the cab awesome.

Look at the value of a mint Defender, or Stargate in cocktail it is just not there even though cool.

Well Def/SG is a sucky game, and the cocktail version is harder to play on that 13" screen than the upright.

And I'd also not sell mine for under $1000. It has nothing to do with "but it's Joust and not worth that much!" Guess how long it would take me to find another original? And how much would I have to pay for it? Even if I found one for $500 - I may pay $400 to get it shipped here, so I'd be spending $900 anyway.

Considering that I have had several people on here mention they'd buy it from me, as well as two local friends who want me to list it in my will for them - I'm not parting with it for what I could sell a nice upright Joust for ($400).

Oh, and I got mine for FREE!!!! :aetsch:
