Yes, the prices that Dale has on most of his ebay auctions are way high relative to what those here would pay, but he's a retailer, his target audience in those auctions isn't us, it's people with more money than time. I picked up an MK boardset from an auction of his last week at a price which I was happy with and at the same time asked if he had a particular cp I was looking for around the shop. I'd asked him a couple questions about the MK which he answered quickly, and he dug around in the shop and found a CP that's what I was looking for (had to dig for a couple days to find it), which he sold me at a very reasonable price, and both got here quickly. Talked to him a couple times on the phone, both times he was nothing but nice. While he has certainly kirked on people in the past, for the most part those were situations where I'd be irritated with a buyer myself, though wouldn't have necessarily had the magnitude of reaction he did, and he's said himself that he went a bit out there in those cases. He's still here and still seems to be an okay guy despite the amount people have piled on him about prices. Bottom line, basic capitalism, if it's a price you're willing to pay, do so, enjoy your purchase, but if not, just keep walking. When people are okay with the price and pay promptly, they've seem to had good experiences with him, case in point NathanJ and the Star Trek cockpit. I wouldn't get near a price like that boardset or the cabs priced at 3 grand I could get for 3 hundred, but based on how I was treated with the random cp ask, if I have something odd I'm looking for in the future which I'm having issues sourcing, I'll probably ping him and see if he can scare it up at a decent price.
Can we please bury this dead horse, it's been beat about 20 feet into the ground. I'm only posting this because I've kept quiet up until now, having not dealt with him directly, and I finally feel I can make an informed decision about my personal experience with him, but I'm done with the topic. Mortal kombat is a ton of fun, btw.
