ok so what might a mint backglass be worth? or does anyone have a very nice playfeild they are looking to sell? if not I just came across another machine that is real beat up but backglass is mint so i might pick it up to part out? interested in some parts?

The backglass price depends in part on the following (in addition to condition):
1. No stars (rare, more expensive)
2. Small stars (rare, less expensive than no stars)
3. Large stars (least desirable, cuts price.)

So, why stars? There are several controversial images in the backglass - some see-through tops showing too much for the censors of the time, someone with their hands down a guy's pants, you get the picture.

The first fix was the small stars. When that didn't placate the censors, the larger star backglass came out, and pretty much "covered" their concerns.

So, which one do you have?

The purists are looking for the no-star versions. I know someone who has one (he filled me in on the history), and to say that he is a proud owner would be an understatement.

In good condition, depending on the desires of the buyer, no flaking, colors still strong, no lifting, $350 to $500 best case. No demand: less.
