My kid loves Spiderman...he has all the playsets and hats and shirts and sunglasses and toys...pretty much anything you can imagine, he wants it if it has anything to do with Spiderman...so...i started looking around for a spiderman game...and i've found a couple but both are asking what i think is way too much for them...this is the better of the two i have found so take a look at the pics and what do you guys think would be a fair price on this one?

sorry the pics are not bigger/better it's all i have to go by...

Honestly, it doesn't come up all that often and this looks really nice from the pics. I paid $400 for mine and it is not this nice. I'd be willing to pay in the same range.

just beware, it is not a simple board swap to play anything else. This cab is wired for Sega System 32 and there are few boards that are an easy swap...

thanks...i would have no intention of ever changing anything on this game...would pretty much be for my son to play...just wondered what a good price would be...guy was asking almost $1000 on it.

Agreed this game is typically worth $400-500 and can board swap with Golden Axe RODA. You only have 2 buttons per player however.

Is this one you found the HUO one in Norcal?

I think a Mint Dedicated Spider-Man cab might actually be worth the $1000

Awesome game, kinda hard to find... Tough choice man. My kids love that game and they play it all the time. If a dedicated cab came up for sale in my area for $1000 I would probably buy it LOL

i need to read up on the system 32 stuff...have no idea what that is all about...but like i said, this one if i get it will be nothing but what it already is for as long as i have it.

looks to be in good shape from the pics but you know how that goes...i will go check it out in person and go from there.

Actually a Spiderman has a standard jamma pinout on the main kick harness.
The only difference would be to rewire the 3 and 4 players and their start buttons.
If anyone was worried about using a standard jamma harness on it. :)

anyone know how the control panel comes off of this thing in case i get it? is it just like NBA Jam?

YES! except it's only 1 bolt instead of 4. (if your referring to the whole box) that's how i got mine through a doorway.

My Spider-Man cab was converted to AvP when i got it, but the harness didn't look like it was replaced (but it was in terrible shape wiring wise). I've since replaced the harness and the new one went in just as easy as the old one came out with no wiring changes.

Actually, the harness is completely different. Sega, in their infinite wisdom, decided to wire up their games in a proprietary method. Inside the gameboard cage it is reconverted back to Jamma (well, close enough to work anyway). In order to plug a standard Jamma game into these machines you need to find a way to put the replacement board into the cage. It is something that can be done, so long as the original cage is still there, and you are willing to modify the cage, or mount the new board in some kind of stood off method.

It should be three bolts, two bolt the panel to the cab along the vertical axis and one holds it along the horizontal.

Actually, now that I think about it it could be two on each axis...

by the way, these are really nice cabs.
I love my Golden Axe RODA.

Mine was de-caged and the jamma harness can reach around.

I've got this same cab and it's one of the nicest looking ones I have. I would never pay what that guy is asking for one but like someone said, they don't come up often. Mine is a non-destructive Mame cab. Gets a LOT of play that way. Just wish it had 3 buttons per player.

yup your right (3) sorry, 2 are super close to the latches and i didn't see them with the lights out lol.

well...i hope to go get this tomorrow and if it's not raining when i get home, i will have some better pics....i just hope its not damaged or worse than it looks in the pics.

uh yeah...it's sitting in my living room now...$200 :) Pics as soon as i get it put back together...it did not fare well on the trip home :( but the good news is that nothing broke or got scratched...just needs to be secured...and hope it turns on.

control panel bolts are missing...anyone know exactly what size I need to get? Just need the bolts, the rest of it is still there...the nut or part it screws in to...whatever that is called...its counter sunk into the wood....but i have no idea what size bolts to get?

$200 is a good pickup. $1000 is some bull. I've seen a few locally. They're nice cabinets for sure. Can't wait to see the pics. What does your son think?
