Good morning everyone. What is a fair price to pay on a very good condition NFL Blitz 2000/NBA Showtime combo game? Been looking for a while and found one but I suspect it's way over priced. Also, any issues with that game I should be aware of to look for when I go to check it out?

Thanks in advance for your input!

dedicated or conversion? A dedicated sportstation is very rare. most were showtime conversions or blitz 99 conversions. As for a price, anywhere from $600-$1k+.

What to look for:
1: running on medium rez monitor
2: 49 ways working
3: hdd or CF
4: burnt edge connector

here is a pic of my showtime converted to blitz2000 showtime

he didn't have pictures posted in the ad so I requested some and he sent me two horrible photos. He claims I'll never see one In better condition. He also said he paid $4k (if true, that's just absurd) and would take $1,500. I've been looking for one of these for quite some time but I'm not too sure if this is it. He is encouraging me, however, to come see it and look it over. Here are the photos...

That's a conversion in a NBA Jam TE dedicated cab. While that cab, itself, is pretty dang rare, I think he's on the high side. I'd wanna be closer to $1K.

Yup... not a dedicated and not even a properly converted conversion.

IMHO I wouldn't pay more than $800 even if the cab was perfect ... unless I was converting back to a NBA Jam TE.

yeah, its a dedicated nba jam TE which is also very uncommon. as te, its probably worth $1k+, but as sportstation, its worth about $700- $800.

The blitz/showtime pcb is worth about $300. I would put that cab as worth about $500. A bit more to the right person as its about $200-$300 to convert it back into te.

That cab probably has a standard rez monitor in it. It could have 8 way joysticks in it(but since they are black sticks, they either are the 49 ways or the original 8 ways were changed to new black ones). so as a blitz/showtime, it works, but its not ideal.

As for what he paid, he may have paid that much for it. there are people who sell games to people for insane money. But since he says he would take $1500, I suspect that's what he really paid for it. So unless you someday might want to make it back into a nba jam TE, I would say pass.

Yeah. If it could be had for $800, the pcb/hd could be sold and those funds could net the needed parts to convert back to TE. Then you'd have a dedicated TE under market value, so win! :)

we need scans of that sideart, stat

I don't have the tools or the skills to scan it (I am sure it would have to be scanned and assembled in pieces due to its size). I would be all for having it scanned. Now if someone has the skills locally, I can make it available. If someone has the skills and is going to cax next year, I can take it to the show and you can do it there.

I have a tough choice to make. I got a HUO showtime recently that was converted to blitz/showtime. So I have to decide keep it and sell the dedicated sportstation, or sell the HUO. The showtime above is not the HUO one(that one looks like new). I sold the one above when I got the dedicated sportstaion. I don't plan on keeping both, so one is going to be sold..
