Price of a mint Gyruss with less than 400 plays

I could see someone paying 550 for a super clean Gyruss with nonscratched up artwork. Low plays dont mean shit to me though, only low serial numbers. The way he worded the low plays is suspect though. Like when a dealership drops a new engine in and says " less than xxxx miles on this vehicle."

The $550 price tag seems a little high, it should be more in the $400 to $450 range tops for a mint one and $200 to $350 for one in "good" working condition. I would offer $350 or $400 and see what happens.

If you want a mint Gyruss, then yes, it is definitely worth the price. Just look what it would take to restore one to mint condition and this purchase would be cheaper.

If you just want a Gyruss and aren't picky about condition, then you can get much cheaper.

Yep, Gyruss games hardly ever show up in great condition. Their cabinet/front corners/paint are the suck.

I'd also pop on it.. But would offer $475-500.. Never seen a nice minty gyruss in all the years I've been collecting.. For some reason those cabs get BEAT on!

Just remember, coin counters can be zero'd out, replaced, etc.. So coin count usually means nothing unless its totally obvious it's never been changed..

Pulled a shit ton of games out of a warehouse a few years back.. They had been in storage since 1983.. Games were on location (one location) for less than a year then packed away.. Qbert with 325 plays, Dig Dug with less than 200 plays, etc.. Now those I could believe :)

Now that you've posted this ad, the game is prolly sold.

I'm sure you can tell how minty it is as soon as you look at it. If it is in that condition I woiuld jump on it. Truly a classic. And I agree with local413, it's prolly gone by now...

I know the guy and can tell you he does donate games to a church and I think he rotates them out. Thats about all I can tell you. I have actually seen this machine but it was over a year ago and I really didnt pay much attention to it. Btw, his name is Jim.

If it is truly close to mint I see no problem with $550. Gyruss is a great game and like said if not restored they are usually pretty dinged up. You could get a cheaper one but you will spend more to restore it than that.

Of that Gyruss was within reasonable driving distance to me it would already be sitting in the Asshat Arcade.

A game is worth what someone is willing to pay... The question to ask yourself in a situation like this is if the game is worth that price to YOU. Seeing as how it was posted on the worlds most popular Arcade Collecting site and the link is now gone I'd say it's sold.

listing is gone.. I hope you got it..

Gyruss is a great game. If its really that nice, I would say its fair.. Average gyruss is a $250-$350 game..
