1200-1500 sound right? I played this at the hall of fame and iam addicted to it. Iam willing to sell my High Speed towards a 100% working Funhouse. Rudy is too cool, and want him in my gameroom. I will trade my High Speed but how much money towards a Funhouse? Thanks

Rudy is THE MAN
Personally Im a HUGE Steve Ritchie fan so that would be a tuff trade for me to make...
That being said it all depends on condition of the machines, and what you are willing to pay for a pin...
Heres a good place to start for pin prices strictly as a general guide

1200-1500 For a routed one, with playfield wear, unshopped

2000-2500$ for a nice clean one, with rudy working 100%, and no wear

Funhouse is probably one of the greatest pins ever made. But, like everything else, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. As fun as that game is... it's certainly not worth the 3k+ people are asking. They might be listed for 3K+, but no one is buying them.
Personally $1200 is the most I would pay for it w/ a good playfield. There are a lot of great machines out there. Download "Visual Pinball" and "PinMame". It's not like the real thing, but at least it'll give you a feel for the games.

If you have a $1200 funhouse with a good playfield i would be all over that. I think something closer to the 2k mark is about right for a nice funhouse

Funhouse is on my list of pins to get. My list is short, and I don't have any pins yet though. I'm expecting to pay $2000 +/- for one.

$1500 for a fully working mylar one with some normal wear/tear on the playfield and Rudy.

I'd love to get one of these even though another local guy has one. I have a sentimental attachment to Rudy every since he scared the crap out of me as a kid.

so, am i blacklisted if i say that funhouse never really did anything for me? :)

good luck on getting your pin though (OP). we all have different tastes....and as funhouse is constantly near the top of the charts, i readily admit that i am in the minority. hell, my pin-grail was a DE star wars, for crying out loud......i KNOW i'm in the minority. :)

mine is d.e. guns n roses pud dont feel bad!

but id realistically say 1500-2200

funhouse is on my list but not at the very top

my buddy got one for 400 (the one im working on now)

doubt if ill ever see that again but who knows

needs a display and Rudy's eyes wernt working right among many other smaller problems
but its a fun game for sure

I paid $1K for mine. Playfield has flipper drag wear, wear at the out hole and the infamous inserts popping up on the clock. It needed flippers rebuilt, several bulbs replaced, trap door needed solenoid to be resoldered, new rubber and several coil sleeves replaced. It doesn't take long to add up extra dough. It's a great player as is but a new playfield is in the works for winter time. If you have a $1500 machine that needs work and the playfield has wear spend $2K and get a ready to play machine. You'll be money ahead.

And FWIW - Funhouse is still one of the best pins I've ever played. The hype about A list games to me is just that .... hype.

Ya not giving up the High Speed for it. High Speed is one I played alot as a teen when it came out, the damn machine was everywhere and everyone was always in aww over it. I have owned the machine for a little over 2 years now with no major problems to it and everything is working 100%. It's a keeper in my house as it just never gets boring. The Funhouse that I was gonna trade and give money on the deal as well was not worth it. It was only working 60% need alot of work and money to put into it. My HS is 100% and is very reliable in the 2 years of owning it. Funhouse is hella fun and maybe in the future I will get one. Thanks

That's more of my type of game. Buy them cheap and broken. Fix'em yourself. But hey, maybe I'm just cheap. Though, I would have to give considerable thought if someone wanted to trade a working Funhouse for my Joust 2.

I think I paid $2800 for a very nice one with the original "Diamond Plate".
Reports only "about 200" made like this (IPDB)
No regrets - Funhouse is just so FUN!!!!

I couldn't sell one in Southern California last year for $1000. I ended up trading it for $800 and an X-box. The machine was in average shape, 100% working. The sentiment on the economy last year took a hit on everything.

I am in SoCal and must have been asleep at the wheel, as I would have definitely been interested in a $1000 Funhouse, especially if it was working. That guy got a steal, that's for sure.

Funhouse was the best purchase I ever made for a pin that really holds your attention...I was lucky at the time to be able to cash in by selling another pin that was hot at the time so that I could get two high end pins...Funhouse and Roadshow..with a few bucks to spare to boot...both in very nice condition and still fun to play even after several years.
