A super mario in good condition. Only conern is that the cabinet is originally a popeye cab with no side art. Monitor works, but has some line through it(probably a cap kit). What would you pay?

Non widebody (since it's Popeye) I'd expect to pay around 250. Logically I would pay 150 for it, but I'm not the game's biggest fan. 2-300 would be a fair enough deal for a game that desirable.

There is no widebody Super Mario Bros. I think you are thinking of Mario Bros which is a totally different game. SMB is a Vs. game, meaning you can swap out 20-30 different games into it. There was a dedicated grey particle board cabinet for the Vs. system, but it sucked hard core ballz. The DK/Popeye Vs. conversions are the better cabs in most cases. SMB is the most popular of the Vs. series so value will depend mainly on Cabinet condition. I would say $100 is cheap. $400 is at the high end.

Opinions of condition vary from person to person, but that said I probably wouldn't go over $200 for it,but I'd really would try to get it in $150 range.

I know exactly which one is. The guy selling it, I've talked too. Offer him 125 for the game, he will take that. Might take less because, it was a month ago when I talked to him. The game is a non wide body super mario bros, in the blue cab. Check the serial plate on the back of the cab to see if it is dedicated, or a conversion popeye. I'm thinking its dedicated

I just didn't have time to go down and get it, or it would have been in the garage.

ahhh, you're right, I was thinking of Mario Bros. I still have trouble grasping the vs. concept xD

No clue on Vs. pricing. Never went for one before, so I can't judge that. Phet's estimate sounds right though.
