What is the price range for a nice Xenon? Shopped... partial LED's... new blue posts... fully functional... etc.

I have someone making me offers... but I'm not really interested in selling. I'd like to see where his offers are landing in relation to worth. I picked up the pin cheap but put a bit in to it (not a TON of dough but quite a bit of time).

If I were forced to rate the game condition, based on the age (30+ years), i'd give it a solid 8 to 8.5 out of 10 conservatively. Some would likely rate it closer to a 9 when age is factored in.

I am serious here - that is one heck of a nice looking Xenon right there.

I am considering bringing in an early bally, so i have been looking at Flash Gordons, Fathoms (yeah right), those are the two that i 'can live with' (theme is a factor). Xenon is one that i like - the layout is Great - but the theme (is that sex with an alien or something?) kills it for me. Centaur too - that machine has a great layout but what are they thinking with the S+M.

But i have still included those in searches. There is a nice Xenon in CL San diego for 1k which i thought was fair. I really wish i was in the market for one - the one you have right there is leagues beyond others i have seen - good job. I would say 1k - 1200.

(Going back to ponder Xenon for my lineup now).

I have been thinking of selling mine and it's somewhere between your before and after pics..

I won't take less than $850 for mine

You should get $1000 or more for it as nice as it is

I played Xenon a lot back in the day, and picked one up locally, in about 2002, from a video guy for $500. It has factory mylar and is a reimport, cleaned up real nice, and I replaced the backglass with a better one found at auction. I also wanted to comment on your Centaur opinion -when my wife first saw it, she said "no way". I said "wait - play it first". She's hooked. The artwork is very "avant garde", no doubt, but the five ball multiball, the sound, the play all make up for the appearance. Centaur is far better than Fathom, I have both.

Incidentally, on topic, a nice Xenon will fetch $1k without issue.

$800 is on the low end, and for a freshly shopped one I'm sure you can do better.

I've been through two Xenons in the last 6 years - and grew bored of them both quickly.

For Bally pins from this period, Centaur beats out Xenon easily, and I consider it better than Fathom as well.

Xenon is pretty to look at, and has great audio - but the game play just didn't hold up for me over time.

Not the selling price

to me, XENON is worth about 40 games, maybe
then i want a something else to play

boards are worth maybe 275
nice playfield like that 275

but hey, if you can get a grand outta one, you are doing alright

Still not

about a year ago i passed on (2) Xenon's at the Grandview auction. think they went for 110 ish each. just too many project's at the time and one had a pretty nice PF iirc

maybe shoulda pulled the trigger but cant go back

always wish i have more storage space than i do. guess if i had one wish, a giant storage unit would beam down from the starship

I pick them up when I come across them (which is why I got the second one, even with no plans to keep it) - I've had zero issues finding buyers, and have had several offering to pay to have them shipped. Just one of those games that's popular with a lot of people...

That sure would look nice sitting next to my Bride of Pinbot. I like the "idea" of owning this game, but I can see how it would probably end up not getting much love in my arcade...

I bought member Sprout's second Xenon in December 2008. It is actually the first pinball I ever really played. I barely saw them when I was active in arcades. For me, it is everything pinball is about. It is just the right age, I really like the playfield art and the backglass has a lot of neat features. I guess the theme is what you make it, and the voice samples get a lot of cheap laughs from my friends and family, men and women. It has been very stable as far as pinballs go. One of the flippers is starting to need a rebuild and a transistor has burned out on the lamp driver board. The sound got a little scratchy, but a simple cable reseating fixed that. Very minor issues. I've kept it clean and I replace pinballs if I notice they ever get pitted. I hate batteries in any arcade game, so the ones in the machine got replaced with a $30 chip.

The cab has wear, but the playfield is above average. I have never been unhappy with the game and is only one of two pinballs that have made it into my collection.
