price check: working ms pac cocktail

Around my area they hold strong at $700. $1000 is seems to appear alot, but $900 would take a minty one. No idea why these things are so popular. Occasionally empty or non-working cabs will sell for $300 by themselves.

I rarely see a working one for less than $600-$700.Even non working ones seem to go for more that I'd ever imagine.($300-$400)

I am kinda surprised by these prices. What about Pac cocktails? Do they bring the same amount in your areas?

I just sold a pretty nice one here in Seattle yesterday. I absolutely couldn't get $750 for it via Craigslist in a week, insane amounts of lowball offers though. I thought it was a fair price given I put on a new underlay, new player start buttons, new lock, repainted the coin door/vents/glass clips, and it was pretty nice cabinet (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dan10things/sets/72157623451522795). Ended up selling for $650. I think the price on these has come down a lot in recent years.

I love mine... and only paid $75 for it...

Always outliers...Sounds like $75 and $1000 are in the tails...

I paid $375 for mine, working, needs light resto (read: good cleaning and painting of the metal grills, coin door etc). Seems about right...Maybe a bit on the 'better deal' side of the curve.
Thanks

here in cleveland you would be lucky to get $550 for one. The last one I sold was a nice original with Mark's 6-pac it went for $550 after a couple weeks on craigslist.

Yeah, I wanted one at a deal like that for a long time. Realizing it wasn't going to happen, I'm going to convert an empty midway cocktail with 9" CP's to a Ms. Pac. I'd love a completely original one, but when I'm done with this, the only non-orig part will be the wood box. Only an avid Klov'r could tell the difference, even then I may have to point out the subtle difference.
