What's a decent price for a Whirlwind in good to very good condition? I've played the game, seems fun... any opinions?

I have owned one for 12 years and mine is beat up, I paid 1400 and I would again. Fun easy to play hard to master. Nice Pat Lawlor design

I paid $1,200 off of Ebay back in 2002, my first pin. The seller did live less than a mile from my house so that helped the deal. Not a museum piece, but definitely not a beater at all. The last one at Super Auctions here made mine look Smithsonian worthy and that went for over 1k I think and it was missing a lot of stuff/or a lot of stuff was broken. I'd say around 1,200 would be average from what I've seen.

A guy around here has one for 2500CAN. But it's fully clearcoated and FULLY restored. Everything rebuilt and he does absolutely amazing work. So that's pretty much as high as you'd expect to pay...just to give you an idea..

You will not find a nicer one then his, full cab decals, rebuilt pops, etcetc..it's a thing of beauty. But of course 2500 is WAY on the high side..

I paid much less than the prices you guys are quoting. I frickin' love mine. It's the best game I have. BY FAR. Gets played the most and is universally loved the most.

You do know that you can go to Pinpedia and look at the average price, right?

Average price is $899.00 based on Ebay auctions over the years. I'd say that's pretty about right for an average one that needs a little TLC. Cherry ones will demand more, of course.

Something about that chart and those numbers just seems...off.

Boston pinball has a lifetime average and a 6 month average of $1300.

Mylar in fully working condition: $1200
Diamond plate in fully working condition: $1600

That's all you need to know right there.

I purchased mine less than a year ago for $1,100. Mine is in very good condition (only a few nicks in the paint on the head) and came with some extra parts (spinner and topper stickers, ring kit).

I am currently looking for a nice one right now, and have found that everyone here is pretty accurate with their prices on this game. I had an opportunity to buy one last month for $1k, but the playfield was in bad shape. I may have found one, DiamondPlate, (awaiting pictures) and the guy is asking $1800.
