Price Check: Upright Asteroids Deluxe

I paid $250 for mine, then had the monitor completely rebuilt for another $50. I seem to see them at $250-300 when I do see them pop up.

yeah, AD is a good game but doesn't sell for a whole lot since they are pretty common and rarely converted.

i've seen working ones go for as little as $200-250, with very nice examples $500 and under.

Well there's someone in my area looking to sell one for $700 with "I have to sell by 2/22", somehow I don't see them getting that price:

Yeah, I saw that and sent him an email with what I believe is a generous offer inline with what people said here but his reply that he'll just keep for that money.

A wise collector told me once "some people just think the shit they have is gold".

Well, I wouldn't call asteroids deluxe shit. Iwould call it highly undervalued.

Between $200-$400 depending on condition in our neck of the woods. That one for $700 must be selling 2 of them for that price. These people really think these machines sell cost $2000-3000.

Some lady around here tried to sell one for $4000 firm...

I emailed her a reality check...

I offered $650 eventhough I already had one. She came back weeks later still wanting $1500.

AD

I Picked up a few games today. One I passed on was an AD. Nice cab, working with minor board issue for $250. I almost got it because it was the first one I have seen in a while without the anti glare kit installed.

I found one for a friend a year or so ago for $350 in collector condition. I think 400-600 is reasonable though.
