I restored one a few years ago. A lot of them were made back in the day. Then they were converted into other games. Mine was converted to an Aliens. The original wiring harness was still in the game so I bought the marquee, PCB, buttons and new CPO, and fixed it up. I think I sunk about $300 into the project, including the machine.
I found that the memory of the game was better than the game itself so I got rid of it. I think I sold it for a little over $300 (break even) and the buyer flipped it for about $500 after putting side art on it.
You could also look for a Hypersports, which is a rarer machine. BTW, you can switch out these two games in either of these cabs. I also had one of these machines but never got around to restoring it and sold it complete for $125 non-working. As I recall I bought it for $50.
Almost done restoring a Hypersports myself. The artwork is not as easy to find and not the same quality as the T&F repros out there but it looks good to me. One drawback to going the HS route is that the boards are around $200. T&F boards go from around $65-95 unless you get a real deal. But the ability to switch between the 2 boards is great for a TF/HS fan.
I sold my last 2 or 3 hypersports boards for $150 plus shipping IIRC (100% working)
they sell for 2 bills on occasion.
