Price Check: Toobin'

Like I have said in the past you guys under value your games. Sales just today
Ms Pac mini 800.00
Star Wars 1000.00
Tahiti bingo 1000.00
These games do bring a lot more than you think you just have to find buyers for them. And all of these games so here in the southeast and not oversea's.

Why would you sell a collectable game like Star Wars for $1000? On the Mars and Tennessee price guides that is a 2,000 machine all day anyday...

Jaded Gamer didn't want a primo mint restored game dude, (if thats how it would be in the end). You're missing a good target klov audience by insulting them. Make a hundred or two without doing ANY work instead of wasting time, money, space and losing potential customers all in the same stroke? After all the resources put into building some supposedly pimp Toobin' machine could your profit margin really be that much more? When working with KLOV your dealing with people who know their way around an arcade machine, the car salesman approach won't work.

Dale, no worries, the FT hauler isn't planning a trip to ChooChoo... I prefer the West coast hauls where, even going through San Francisco and L.A. a half dozen times you're not asked to grab your ankles while you're stroked with a shuck and jive AND attitude. I may actually be planning an Eastward klov roadtrip someday, but I won't be thinking any good condition, reasonably priced machines are to be had in Tennessee...

Dude you are missing the boat this Toobin was a empty cab and I would have to order a monitor for it and get it working. If I am going that far with it why would I stop there why not to a complete restore. The Jadgamer told my guy he wanted a working Toobing for 250.00 not a empty cab.
We sell a good product and I do not get complaints on what we sell. The funny thing is you talk as if you know me, I have never had any dealings with you and you do not know anything about what we sell or how I sell it. All I did was invite a fellow Klov member to my shop because we have been swapping EM's for a while and he wanted to see our warehouse and not a Toobin. It seems like everytime a member comes in here it ends bad. But then you have a few guys from the forum that come in and we have a good time. I had one member about 2 weeks ago and walked out with a Tempest cab for 150.00 and I gave him a empty Q bert cab but he was a good guy and did not have that I AM A CHEAP ASS AND KNOW EVERYTHING chip on his shoulder and there are a few others guys from the forum that come in that are great guys. But if most of the members here have that same chip then PLEASE DO NOT BROTHER TO COME IN it just ends badly and makes for a long thread on here. I have enough babies at home I do not want to deal with them at work too. If I am shooting myself in the foot like I have been told with this post then so be it but the point is now read this slowly.
IF YOU ARE A CHEAP ASS KNOW IT ALL AND LOOKING FOR SOME REASON TO BITCH STAY OUR OF MY SHOP AND IF YOU DO I WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS ONE DAY AND YOU CAN SAY I TOLD YOU SO.
If you are like most people on here which by the way most that I have meet are great guys and know a ton and want to share what they know then come on down and I wil work with you the best I can. The funny thing is I have never treated anyone from here badly and the 2 guys that have bitched about me and my shop I still have never meet.
Oh and this most be the 1 post that I sold a game too cheap in the same thread where I wanted too much for a game. Instead of Toobin price check it should be HELP BIPOLAR NEED HELP. Just thought it was funny and by the way it was Star Wars Trilogy

And by the way FT you need to get checked for the Bi Polar bug because in the same post you have I sold a game too cheap and there are no good deals to be had here. Which side of the fence are you going to be on?

I don't know you, but the continued insults you're still laying down in this thread has convinced me I will never knowingly conduct business with you or your company. I won't give my hard-earned money to somebody who would speak this way towards prospective customers.

I am a small business owner. If I behaved as you are towards my clients or employees, I'd be run out of town.

Tell me how have I behaved? I have done nothing wrong. This is not a case of the customers always right. I have had 2 Klov guys come here and trash us on this board like they have been cheated. Funny thing is I have never meet either one of them. The rest of the Klov members who have been here like it and have left with good deals. I cannot give these games away for next to nothing and stay in business. And if you have chossen not to do business with me that is cool but make sure you are doing it for the right reasons. If you think I am a dick call me and find out for your self 1-888-867-3001 it is even toll free. I been told I do not love these games and I am not a collector well maybe who knows. But I do not think I would
A. Crawl thru rat invested warehouses
B. Come home everyday covered in Rat piss and shit and black as night
C. Invest 100's of 1000's of my dollars in inventory
D. Break my back and shoulders with these games
I could go on but every since my 1st Asteroids I have been hooked I have just taken to a different level than most. My wife says I have a compulsive disorder which most of you on here know I do. If I have offended someone on here sorry. Maybe most of you are right and this is not the right forum for me or my company.

Tell me how have I behaved? I have done nothing wrong.

I'm sorry, but if you re-read many of your responses towards people on this thread, and don't see anything wrong with them, I don't think I can explain it to you. We obviously just differ on what we think we can get away with when talking with prospective customers.

I've read the same RLEVIN story over, and over, and over for two years now and never once opened my mouth until on this thread. It isn't a once in a while thing, its a weekly thing. Also ever notice that in every derailed come to the warehouse thread or lets make a deal thread that a few people post "thanks I know who to avoid now"? There are even more that don't say anything but catalog it into their brain. I'm not the typical klov cheapass. I drive thousands of miles and pay good money to find the games that I want...

Dale, you've had lots of games on ebay that I would have pulled the trigger on, EXCEPT your shady attitude I hit the little X in the corner and wait patiently for one that I won't have problems with the seller or feel like I'm giving my money to a scumbag. I've also heard serious full paying non-cheapo klov members say the same thing over and over again.

I don't really care what you do or not, you're far enough away that its has zero impact on anyone that I know... But you reminds me of my old boss at the machine shop. I spent 6 years watching him chase off people that didn't want his gold engine blocks and platinum rebuilds, all while watching them goto a shop a few miles away for their "simple" needs... All he'd do is bitch that there isn't the type of customers he wants and how crappy it is that he can't meet his overhead, raising the prices further... all the meanwhile the shop down the road is thriving off all the pissed off people that he told to "never come back". You know what happened? A 60 year old 3rd generation parts store and machine shop closed its doors, because years of that crap and there was no customers left to piss off!

You don't have a medium resolution monitor kicking around your warehouse you could have tossed in there to see if it even works? He drove down there to buy a Toobin' not to stare at and empty hulk and be offered a restoration service that he could do himself.

I've also delivered machines to some of the California cheap-asses that I've watched you rip on here, who payed well above market klov price for a nice machine, AND paid for delivery... Alot of these people who you say are "cheap" are actually willing to spend even RLEVIN asking prices for quality, they just don't want YOU to get the money.

Again, you're judging your KLOV "brothers" entirely in the wrong light and customer type.

The Jadgamer told my guy he wanted a working Toobing for 250.00 not a empty cab.

I understand reading comprehension can be difficult, but again, I never said anything of the sort.

Your guy asked me what I was looking to pay for one, and I merely mentioned that they typically sell around the $250 - $300 mark -- which, from the data I've gathered here at KLoV (which represents the only collection of Toobin' owners that I know), is hardly some CUH-RAAAAZY set of price figures.

I haven't said precisely what I would pay, to anyone.

I may actually be planning an Eastward klov roadtrip someday, but I won't be thinking any good condition, reasonably priced machines are to be had in Tennessee...

Not in Chattanooga there isn't. Well, not unless you buy from some local collectors, like Scott Hicks or myself. Unfortunately, we represent probably two-thirds of that population around here, and I don't sell that often.

Just to add my rlevin story to the mix.
A local (to him) wanted a game I had and was coming up this way. I told him I would trade it for a jamma cab to 48 in 1. He stated he just sold a "bad dudes"(I think...been a while... either way a fighting jamma) to dale for $50. that would be perfect. He suggested I speak with dale and see if I could get it and he would bring it with him and we would deal on the other game in cash. Sounded good so I gave dale a call.
I didn't give him all that info just explained who I was and asked about a jamma cab. He stated he had a "bad dudes he just got in that he would give me a "KLOV brother" price of $300. I said I was just looking for a cab so that was too much he then said he had some generic cabs with no boards and unknown monitors he could let go for $175 to $200 if I was interested. So needless to say I thanked him for his time and that was that.

To this day every time I see him type "KLOV brother" I taste a little puke in the back of my throat.

Quote from dale "It seems like everytime a member comes in here it ends bad."

I am sure it is EVERYONE else that is the problem.... not you.

And by the way FT you need to get checked for the Bi Polar bug...

That's twice that you've made such insinuations in this thread. Who are you to diagnose others with having some kind of mental or emotional disorder?

You're the only one that has come off as being somewhat unstable; what, with all the "STAY OUT OF MAH WEREHOUSE CHEEPASSES KNOWITALLS WHO LIKE TA BITCH BLARGH!!1!" kind of talk.

I mean, really.

And if you can find a fully restored Tobbin for 250.00 let me know where it is so I can buy it.

Supadave has one for $250
There's one in Cali for $300
And there's one in Orlando for $175

Sure, they're not "fully restored", but they don't need to be either.

Fire up the game-getter! Mega-profits await!
