I am being offered a Tempest that is described as "almost perfect" and I have not seen pics or asked for additional info on it. What is the going rate for a Tempest?

Very cool game, slightly less desired and more plentiful around my parts than a uptight Star Wars. They seem to sell around $700-$900 for a REALLY nice one. $500 will buy a working but rough looking one.

I would almost completely agree. $500 for an average one. $750 to $1000 if it is truely "almost perfect."

Tempest is definitely one of my favorites. Just make sure the monitor is nice since the 6100s can be a pain to work on, and really expensive to buy. I got my Tempest pretty cheap, and it is still one of my most expensive games. For a really nice one, I would say around $500 here in Reno. And that is a really high price for anything in this area. They may not want to sell for that, but I don't think there will be much local competition for it at that price. If it is publicly listed, someone from California, Oregon, or Washington may grab it though.
